A recent Stanwood-Camano Foundation winner of the Hallie Price Grant for Art, Karilyn Kaye has won many awards to include Best in Show and First Place before and since moving to this area five years ago from the Midwest. Winning her first award at the age of 7 at the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art Summer Program, Karilyn later studied on an art scholarship at Judson College also attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Previous member of Parklane Gallery in Kirkland, Washington, Karilyn has shown in galleries and shows around the Pacific Northwest, to include locally, Pop n Arts Festival, Kenmore Art Show, Hengst Studio, Little Red Studio, SEAF, Stanwood House, the once Utsalady Gallery, and Raven’s Gallery, Seattle.
Karilyn’s work also may be found in various public places around the Northwest. She has been accepted and shown in juried art shows in this area to include SCAG Spring Invitational Show, Mother’s Day Tour (Stanwood House Gallery), CAA Christmas Shows, Art by the Bay, Little Red Studio, Snohomish Arts Council’s “Fresh Paint”, SEAF, and the AAUW Show. Karilyn has donated her works to benefit the H’arts Auction in Everett, Washington, Junior League of Kosiusko, Mississippi, as well as Northwest Family Life Auction, Bellevue, Washington, etc. Karilyn has works hanging nationally and internationally.
Karilyn is a member of Camano Artist Association and Stanwood Camano Arts Guild. Her work can be seen next at Art by the Bay, July 20-21, Camano Island Washington, and Solovei Gallery, Everett, WA. and ongoing at Little Red Studio and Raven's Gallery in Seattle
